The
MEASURE Array currently consists of
ten individual stations, eight of which were deployed specifically
for the MEASURE array.
Two
additional stations at Ottawa Canada
(operated by the Canadian Geological Survey) and Fredricksburg
Va (operated by the United States Geological Survey) are formally
part of the array though Fredricksburg currently does not provide 1
sec data.
These 10 stations are arranged in such a way to create 5 pairs of closely
spaced magnetometers (see Figure
1) ranging from an L of 1.7 to 3.3 (see
Table 1).
The
first stations (APL and JAX)
came on line during the summer of 1998, with the rest of the stations
coming on-line during the summer of 1999.
